At Legacy Landworks, we build house pads that give your new home, cabin, barndominium, shop, or mobile home site a stable, level base. If the pad is not prepared the right way, you can run into drainage issues, settling, erosion, and costly repairs later. We do the groundwork carefully so your project starts on the right foot.
Our house pad service starts with a site review. We look at the layout, slope, soil conditions, access, and water flow across the property. From there, we plan the cut and fill work needed to create the right building elevation and footprint. We clear and strip organic material, remove soft spots when needed, bring in or move suitable fill, and compact the pad in lifts for strength and long-term performance.
We also focus on grading and drainage around the building site. A good house pad is not just flat. It needs to shed water away from the structure and fit the surrounding land. We shape the area to help control runoff and reduce future problems with standing water, washouts, and mud. When needed, we can also prepare access routes and rough grading around the pad to support the next phase of construction.

Site Review & Pad Planning
We start with a site visit to review access, drainage, soil conditions, and the proposed home location. Then we map the pad elevation, cut and fill needs, and timeline so you know exactly how we will prepare a level, build-ready base.
Excavation, Grading & Compaction
Next, we clear and strip unsuitable material, bring the pad to rough grade, and shape the site for proper water runoff. We place and compact fill in lifts, dialing in slope and elevation to create a stable house pad that is built to spec.
Final Check & Build-Ready Finish
Before we wrap up, we fine grade the pad, clean up the work area, and double-check dimensions, elevation, and surface consistency. We walk the site with you, answer questions, and make sure the pad is ready for the next phase of construction.
