Sometimes the best thing you can do for a property is rip out what's not working anymore and start from scratch. That's exactly what we were called in to do here - strip out a worn-out driveway and get the ground ready for something solid and new.
We ran our CAT 275XE track loader to pull up the old surface material and cut clean edges along both sides of the driveway run. The tracked machine gives us a lot of control working close to a building like this - we're not tearing up the surrounding lawn any more than we have to, and we can move material efficiently without making a mess of everything around it.
Site preparation done right is what separates a driveway that holds up from one that fails in a few years. Before anything new goes down, the ground has to be properly excavated, graded, and cleared of old material. Skip that step and you're just paving over problems.
This is the kind of work we genuinely enjoy. It's not glamorous - it's dirty, it's physical, and it takes the right equipment to do it cleanly. But there's real satisfaction in seeing a stripped-down, properly prepped base that's ready to support whatever comes next. Clean progress you can see and stand on.
