Site Prep for a New Home Build Starts Here

When someone is planning to build a home, the first question is usually about floor plans or financing. But the ground itself - that's where a build either starts right or starts wrong. If the land isn't properly cleared and prepped, every phase that follows is working against itself.

Here's what we were working with on this one - a wooded lot that needed to be cleared down to clean, workable ground before any construction crew could move in. We had the CAT 309 excavator working through the heavy debris while a tracked mulcher handled the surrounding vegetation. Running both machines together keeps things moving efficiently and makes sure nothing gets missed.

The excavator is doing what it does best here - breaking up root masses, pulling stumps, and moving material that a mulcher alone can't handle. That combination of equipment is something we lean on a lot for residential site prep.
