Site Prep and Building Pad Work for a Shipping Container Shop

A lot of people have a vision for their property - a workshop, a storage setup, a small shop - but they're not sure how to get the ground ready for it. That's where we come in. This customer had a plan for a shipping container shop, and our job was to turn raw land into a solid, level foundation ready to support it.

Site preparation is more than just pushing dirt around. Getting the grade right, compacting the base, and bringing in the right material - it all matters. A shipping container is heavy. If the ground underneath it isn't properly prepared, you're going to have shifting, settling, and headaches down the road. We don't cut corners on the groundwork because the whole build depends on it.

Here's what we ended up with - a wide, compacted gravel pad set back from the tree line, with two shipping containers already placed and sitting level. The gravel surface gives the containers a stable, well-drained base that's built to handle the load long-term. The cleared area also gives plenty of room to work around the containers once the build-out begins.
