Food plots don't just happen. There's real work that goes into getting raw ground ready to grow - and doing it right from the start is what separates a productive plot from a patch of dirt that never takes. We knocked out four plots on this property, taking each one through the full process: clearing, tilling, and seeding.

Here's what that actually looks like in practice. We ran the tractor through each plot to break up and work the soil properly, getting it loose and ready to hold seed. Once the ground was right, we walked it with a hand seeder to get the seed distributed evenly across the prepared surface. It's a simple tool, but using it the right way matters - coverage and consistency are everything when you want a plot that actually comes in thick.

The finished plots are wide open, level, and clean. That kind of result doesn't happen without solid site preparation up front. The land clearing work that opened these areas up gave us a clean slate to work with, and the tilling finished the job by giving the seed the best possible chance to germinate and establish.

Good land management isn't just about what you do - it's about doing things in the right order. Skip a step, and the whole plot suffers. Get it right, and you've got ground that will hold and attract deer for years to come. That's exactly the kind of setup we aim to deliver on every property we touch.

Whether you've got one plot or several, the prep work is the same. Soil that's been properly worked and seeded correctly is going to outperform anything thrown together at the last minute. If you've got ground that needs attention, we're set up to handle the whole process from clearing all the way through to seed in the ground.
